Metacognitive Blog: And Then There Were None

 1. I changed mostly spelling mistakes from my first draft. I also changed it so I used less first person in all of my paper. In one part I forgot to write the page number so I added it in. As I was rereading it I found wording that was not correct or did not make sense and I changed that too.
2. Sharing my essay with an adult was the most helpful to me.  I knew that if something I wrote did not make sense they would say something.  I find it when peer helpers read your essay they can figure out what is going on because they are doing the same essay as for my parents they are not doing the essay so they might not be able to make sense of something that is confusing. Also my parents have a lot of experience with proofreading in between my two sisters and me so i know they will do a good job.
3. It would help me if I got written feedback on my essays. It helps me to know what I did wrong and what I could do differently for my next essay.

4. I think my vocabulary has room to grow. I find my self using the same words over and over again. I want to use different and new words. Another thing is how long it takes me to write. I want to be able to write my timed writings in the time I have for it and do my best work throughout the whole writing. I feel like towards the end of my timed writing when I was running out of time I was writing down random things to get it gone in time. I could have done better. My goal is to grow my vocabulary and learn how to write fast and do your best work at the same time.
